The words of Jesus in the Book of John. A Sermon Series.
A discussion of Jesus’ conversation with His disciples in John 14:19-24. The text emphasizes the relationship Jesus would have with them in His kingdom.
A discussion of Jesus’ conversation with His disciples, recorded in John 14:12-18.
A lesson discussing Jesus’ conversation with Philip in John 14:7-11. A true recognition of Jesus includes a recognition of his unity with the Father Himself.
In lesson 35 of the series, the discussion centers on the first 6 verses of Jesus’ address to His disciples on the night of His betrayal. (John 14:1-6).
Jesus gave a new commandment to His disciples in John 13:31-38. This lesson discusses that commandment, and His conversation with Peter.
A discussion of John 13:18-30, where Judas Iscariot is identified by Jesus as His betrayer.
In John 13:1-17, Jesus taught by example a lesson on service and humility by washing the feet of His disciples. There are lessons for us as well.
Lesson 30
Another discussion of Jesus’ words in John’s gospel. In the final week before Jesus’ betrayal, He intimates the manner of His death. (John 12:27-36).
A discussion of the illustration Jesus used to emphasize the necessity and glory of His death (John 12:20-26)
Lesson 28 in series:
A discussion of Jesus’ teaching in John 11, as Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead.
Jesus’ claim to be the Son of God is true, and verified by the works that He did while on earth. This truth is established in John 10:22-39
Lesson 26 is series:
In John 10, Jesus describes Himself as the Door to the Sheepfold, and the Good Shepherd. The lesson examines the implications of these statements.
The lesson covers John 9, when Jesus healed a blind man on the Sabbath day, and then healed his soul as well! He deals with the Pharisees who took issue with His healing on the Sabbath.
Lesson 24 in series: Jesus continues to defend His claims to be the Son of God to the unbelieving Jews in John 8:48-59
