The following online resources have been compiled to give our teachers resources to consult in the preparation of their Bible class lessons. They are designed to help primary and Pre-K teachers. However, middle school and high school teachers may find some resources helpful as well. If you have any additional resources to share, please send the link to Stan Cox via email.

Be sure to read the details on each site to see if there are any restrictions on the use of the materials you choose to utilize.
Important: These sites contain the products of men, and some are denominational. Please vet any materials carefully to ensure they are in accord with scripture! (cf. Acts 17:11).

Online Images:
- Free Bible Illustrations from Sweet Publishing
- There are a multitude of images, organized by book. (For example, 350 on Genesis alone). These are “classic” color illustrations. In addition to downloading individual images, you can download the entire set both in low resolution and high resolution.
- Google Images
- Many google images can be used without violating copyright laws. To access these images, first do a an image search on google
- Locate the word “settings” near the top of the page. Click on Settings. Then click on Advanced Search. Scroll down to the “usage rights” drop down box. It will say “not filtered by license.” Change to “free to use share or modify”. Click the blue button below which says, “Advanced Search.”
- All the images which now appear will be legally usable. Note: As long as you stay on that page, you can type in new search keywords, and the filter will remain in place.
- Pictures from Old Bible Storybooks
- This resource is found on the web site of the LaVista church of Christ. It contains links to old public domain images from Bible storybooks printed primarily in the early 1900’s. The images are searchable by Bible character, Bible book or topic.
- Free Bible Images
- The title describes the site. Note, the illustrations are found in various styles, and the terms of use vary with the contributor, but all are free, and usable for teaching purposes. Hundreds of images for both the Old and New Testament are found, and the images are searchable.
Activities:
- Bible Class Creations
- This site is a blog with posts containing ideas (with photos to illustrate) for activities for pre-K children. To navigate the site, please note the alphabetical listings down the right hand side of the site.
- DLTK’s Bible Crafts for Kids
- A large selection of coloring pages, craft ideas, poems, printable activities, and bulletin board ideas.
- Bible Fun for Kids
- This blog contains lessons, crafts, worksheets illustrations and photos to accompany instructions. Look to the right side of the page to find topics and characters in alphabetical order.
- Raising Our Kids
- This site is intended to help educate children. It mainly consists of secular activities and crafts. However, there is a set of Bible coloring pages, and there may be some other Bible related items. Also, seasonal images, etc., may be helpful.
- Free Bible Coloring Pages
- This site a small collection of free coloring pages, containing a total of 54 images. There are 4-6 thumbnails on each page, so a little bit of browsing will be needed to see if there is an image that fits your needs.
- Ministry-to-Children Free Bible Coloring Pages
- This site contains 156 Bible or religious oriented coloring pages, including pages for each book of the Bible, and the 10 commandments. This is from a denominational source, so the images should be carefully examined before use.
Online Curriculum:
- Free Sunday School Curriculum
- The lessons on both Testaments include primary school activities, as well as coloring pages and illustrations that would suit preschool children.
- Site also includes certificates and awards, memory books, review games and sheets, suggested activities and lessons for older primary grades.
- Children’s Bible Lessons
- From the site: “An accumulation of teaching methods, ideas, songs, and activities is offered freely to you in hopes that we may teach our children the Bible…and the Bible only.”
- Note: The site contains lessons and activities, with photos. However, this blog is not as easily navigated, as it is arranged by date. By clicking on a year, then a month, you will be presented with a list of lesson titles.
- Home School Helper Free Bible Resources
- This site contains what is referred to as lapbooks and notebooking pages. The lapbooks are basically a manila folder on any particular subject, with “mini-books” glued into it that are made by the children about aspects of that subject. Notebooking pages are ruled pages for note taking, with an appropriate image or images on the page to illustrate the lesson.
- Sunday School Zone
- As is obvious from the title, this is a denominational site. It includes lessons, activities, and coloring pages. Please examine each resource very carefully to ensure it is biblically sound.
- Mission Bible Class
- Another denominational site that has lessons, images, crafts and activities. Be sure the material is scriptural before using.

- Free Sunday School Curriculum for K-5. Flashcards, games, songs.
