Lesson 9 of Series (4:46-5:17)
When Jesus heals and performs miracles, the serve to establish Him as God’s Son, and worthy of His Lordship. As such, we must obey Him!
The text of Psalm 119 is devoted to expressing to man the blessings which come from God’s excellent word. It guards and directs us, brings us comfort and wisdom, and ultimately brings salvation to mankind.

Lesson 8 in Series (John 4:27-38)
Jesus expresses to His disciples that both His and their work in the world is to save souls.
The lesson shows the need for faithfulness and zeal, by noting the admonitions and commendations to the seven churches of Asia. The key is the individual in accomplishing this need (cf. Ephesians 4:11-14)
The text of 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4 talks about the work of faith, labor of love and patience of hope that defines the Christian experience. The subject was a favorite one of the great Apostle.

Lesson 7 in series (John 4:1-26)
Jesus talks with a Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well, identifying Himself at the “living water”, and the “way, truth and life.”
God corrects and teaches His people. In the same way, parents are to correct and teach their children, and churches their members.

A sermon showing the power of the gospel in the conversion of men, illustrated by the preaching Philip did in the region of Samaria.
In 2 Corinthians 5:12-21, the apostle discusses his motivation to serve Christ. A lesson we all would do well to heed.
Israel made many mistakes, leading to her punishment and fall. We can learn from her mistakes.

Lesson 6 in series (John 3:9-21)
The conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus continues, and Jesus talks of death by crucifixion, God’s grace, and the necessity of faith and repentance.

The historical distinction between the Clergy and Laity is not authorized by scripture, and consistently leads to apathy and a lack of involvement in spiritual matters on the part of the laity. This problem has even influenced some in the Lord’s church.
