The lesson uses the text of Malachi to admonish us as the priests of God (cf. 1 Peter 2:9). It is possible to despise the name of God, to weary him by our apathetic response of faith. We must take care to worship him with reverence and zeal.

The lesson compares and contrasts the modern day practice of glossolalia (ecstatic utterances of unintelligible sounds) with the New Testament practice of speaking in tongues.
A textual examination of a number of verses where the phrase “one another” is found. The lesson emphasizes our need to love our brethren in Christ, with an explanation of ways this love is to be demonstrated.
While the world can offer a momentary happiness, true and lasting joy comes only to one who has the hope of eternal life. It is dependent upon a relationship with Jesus Christ.
When the Messiah was born, wise men from the East came seeking the baby Jesus. Today, wise men still seek Him as their Lord and Savior.
In Luke 17:5-10, the apostles asked the Lord to increase their faith. In response, Jesus challenged them with suggestions to follow that their faith might increase. The lesson discusses those suggestions.
In Exodus 14:13, Moses told the people of God to, “Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.” We must be discerning to know when to press forward, and when to stand still. The phrase is used several times in scripture.

The conversion of Lydia and her household (Acts 16) is contrasted with a modern, evangelical example of Baptism.
The Psalmist asked in Psalm 11:3, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” The lesson seeks to answer the question, by suggesting that the righteous can:
